The CHC held a three-day On-Farm Food Safety Train-the-Trainer Workshop in Ottawa, January 20-22.
Eighteen industry representatives and producers from across Canada attended the session in order to increase their knowledge of the CHC OFFS Program. Participants were instructed on how to deliver an OFFS training session to producers and packers. They were also provided with training tools (hand washing signs, formatted PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, a CD-ROM, an OFFS Manual, hand sanitizer, a thermometer for water testing, etc.) to help producers work through the CHC OFFS Manuals, implement good agricultural practices, keep good records and train employees.
