CORRECTION NOTICE

Please note that the CanadaGAP Food Safety Manuals Version 7.1 (2018) have been updated on the website to allow for the following change to be included:

  • A bullet was added in Section 17. Packaging Materials, to repeat the requirement for tracking harvested product.
  • Please note: This is NOT a new requirement. The requirement was previously found in Section 22. Identification and Traceability.
  • Section 17 now states:
  • The person responsible for releasing harvested product keeps track of harvested product (e.g., harvest dates or date received) through the use of pallet/bin tags or some other form of identification

Note: Refer to Section 22: Identification and Traceability for more information on labelling requirements

  • The requirement was repeated in Section 17 in response to questions from program users seeking clarification on requirements for labeling of harvested product being released to another operation.
