Please note that the CanadaGAP Food Safety Manuals Version 7.1 (2018) have been updated on the website to allow for the following change to be included:
- A bullet was added in Section 17. Packaging Materials, to repeat the requirement for tracking harvested product.
- Please note: This is NOT a new requirement. The requirement was previously found in Section 22. Identification and Traceability.
- Section 17 now states:
- The person responsible for releasing harvested product keeps track of harvested product (e.g., harvest dates or date received) through the use of pallet/bin tags or some other form of identification
Note: Refer to Section 22: Identification and Traceability for more information on labelling requirements
- The requirement was repeated in Section 17 in response to questions from program users seeking clarification on requirements for labeling of harvested product being released to another operation.
