Version 8.0 of the CanadaGAP Program Management Manual has been published for the 2020 season, effective April 1st. Component 3, which describes in detail how the certification program operates, is now available on the CanadaGAP website on the last tab of the ‘Becoming Certified’ page. Select the last item entitled “Management System Manual”.

Changes to Group and Multi-site Certification

CanadaGAP program participants who are enrolled in Group (Option B) or Multi-site Certification should take particular note of changes that are coming into effect on April 1st, 2020.  These changes are required for CanadaGAP to maintain its Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognition. A previous communique provided further details of these changes. A revisions document is available upon request from the CanadaGAP office.

Please also note the addition of Appendix III.3 as an Addendum/Corrigem to the CanadaGAP Program Management Manual v8.0 for 2020. It relates to the certification body sampling plan for Groups (Option B) and multi-site operations.

Groups enrolled in either Option B or Option A3 should also note that Section (vii) becomes MANDATORY on April 1st, 2020. Groups have received advance notice to prepare their internal auditors accordingly to complete the required training and testing.

Corrective Actions Report for 2020

Please note that the CanadaGAP Corrective Actions Report has been updated to Version 8.0 for 2020. A copy can be accessed from the ‘Tools’ menu (second tab) on the CanadaGAP website.
