To help the fresh produce industry better understand the requirements of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is holding a series of question-and-answer video presentations.
Please register early for the Q&A session of your choice, as space is limited. The first session will be held on Thursday, November 21 from 1:00-2.30 pm EST.
It is important that you watch the SFCR recorded video presentation for the FFV sector prior to the Q&A session and have your questions ready ahead of time. The video presentation provides a deeper understanding of the licensing, preventive controls and traceability requirements of the SFCR as they relate to the fresh fruits and vegetable (FFV) sector.
Visit the SFCR FFV requirements and guidance page to learn more.
Companies that have fully implemented the CanadaGAP program are 100% aligned with SFRC requirements related to food safety. For further details, view the presentation on the CanadaGAP website.
